Analytical Methodology, Test Evaluation & Execution

Objective, third-party validation is the bedrock of quality science.

When you enlist NRT consulting expertise, we’ll use our knowledge and experience to strengthen your program, improve your processes, and objectively review your team’s results.

Analytical Method Development:

We have deep experience customizing methods based on the chemical of interest and our client’s needs. Overcome problems like dirty samples and excessive contamination with our help. We can even improve sample conditioning to protect your instrumentation and provide better quality data.

Instrumentation used for analytical method development includes, but is not limited to:

  • MINICAMS®
  • Other Miniature Gas Chromatographs
  • Low Volume Samplers
  • Dilution Air Sampling Systems
  • Analytical Column Vent Systems
  • Backflush Systems
  • Sample Lines

Process Monitoring

Does it work? Is it still working? In process monitoring these are critical questions. We have global experience objectively monitoring and validating processes, equipment, and their performance over time.

Staff Training

We offer ground-up training on air safety monitoring. This forty-hour course equips trainees to effectively and safely contribute to program operations while following recognized standards.

Quality Control

We’re experienced and trained in government standards for quality control in agent monitoring. Not only are we equipped to develop a quality control program for your needs, we can help train your team in different quality control protocols for a variety of equipment types and calibration standards.

Available Detectors and Estimated Ranges:

Flame Photometric Detector (FPD) with optional Optics Kit

Uses: Sensitive to Phosphorus and Sulfur compounds. Developed by NRT and distributed by OI Analytical, the optional optics kit adds up to 10x sensitivity, rendering the FPD extremely sensitive to phosphorus compounds.

Case Study: Destruction Rate Efficiency

Outdoor explosion with fireball
Location: Japan

Program: The safe destruction of decaying chemical ordinance containing Sulfur and Chlorine using explosives to accomplish a thermal breakdown of the chemical warfare material.

Solution: NRT developed methodology for providing near-real-time DRE sampling every five minutes using a MINICAMS equipped with an XSD. Our solution included sample conditioning and venting methods that protected detectors and instrumentation while improving the data quality.

Our objective process monitoring allows the client to proceed with confidence in the efficiency and safety of their program.

We’ve developed many analytical methods for DRE and Safety Air Monitoring using all of the MINICAMS detectors listed for programs throughout the world.

We’re the experts behind the experts.
